The brainspace behind the project:
Leah Colvin has been my hairdresser for over ten years. When she decided to launch her own salon, asking me to build her brand felt like the most natural thing in the world.
Leah is a natural empath — the kind of person people open up to freely. Clients come to her in some of their most vulnerable moments: mid-chemo, mid-grief, mid-reinvention. One of her greatest gifts is helping people see their own beauty when they've temporarily lost sight of it. The brand had to hold that.
The solution was a broken mirror pieced back together — whole, but with visible history. Clean lines and deliberate simplicity, with a font choice that echoed the precision and ease of what she does with her hands every day. Authentic, encouraging, professional, and warm.
We also built out her full website and integrated online booking — and the results were immediate. In Leah's words: "My business actually grew immediately with online booking."
It's one of those projects I'm genuinely proud of. The work matched the person, and the person was worth getting right.
Feedback received:
"Carrie did an amazing job on my website and logo—professional, on time, and truly from the heart. She made my brand come alive, and set up a website that’s simple and user-friendly for my clients, and me! My business actually grew immediately with online booking! She was on time and willing to help in any way! That’s what I call the best!”
